The Dresden Plate was named after the German town of
Dresden , renowned for its fine china.
It is a lovely design and is very popular.
Traditionally the “plates” with rounded petals were first pieced and then hand appliquéd to a background block.
This table centre is quicker and easier to make using pointed petals. The over-size petals turn the plate into a "platter".
Approx size: 19.5 inch diameter (50cm diameter)
Pattern includes plastic templates for petals and circles and a sample fabric petal.
